I read of a man who referred to the dates on a tombstone, from the beginning to the end.
He spoke “first came the birth,” and with tears spoke of the second, the death. But he said what happened most was the dash “-” between those years.
That dash represents all the time spent alive on earth. For it matters not how much we own, the cars, the house, the cash. What matters is how we spent the dash.
